Legacy System Guide for WoW: Forever
The new Legacy System introduces account-wide horizontal progression through sixty-five challenges, customizable character perks, and exclusive cosmetic rewards.

- Access to the Legacy System begins upon earning the initial Legacy Point.
- System unlock triggers: Reaching level 25, obtaining 150 skill in a primary non-gathering profession, or uncovering the full world map.
- Legacy interface is accessible via a shield icon on the menu or the 'Y' hotkey.
- Points earned are account-wide for all non-Hardcore characters.
- Character spending limit: 16 Legacy Points maximum per individual character.
- A solo character can generate up to 29 points through specific gameplay milestones.

- Legacy Challenges: 65 total objectives across six gameplay categories.
- Class Challenges (27 pts): Hit levels 25, 45, and 60 for every class.
- Tradeskill Challenges (18 pts): Reach skill tiers 150, 225, and 300 for all non-gathering primary professions.
- PvP Challenges (12 pts): Achieve Ranks 3, 7, 10, 13, and 14; reach Exalted with 4 Battleground factions; finish Season’s Journey quests for weeks 4, 7, and 10.
- Adventure Challenges (2 pts): Full map exploration and finishing the Lord Valthalak quest series.
- Dungeon Challenges (3 pts): Slay final bosses in dungeon level brackets 15-25, 26-45, and 46-60.
- Raid Challenges (3 pts): Defeat Onyxia, all 13 bosses in Hyjal Summit, and all 8 bosses in Barrow Deeps.
- Working Overtime Perk: Increases skill-up probability for all professions, including Lockpicking.
- Bountiful Harvest Perk: Higher yield for rare materials during gathering.
- Bartering Perk: Lowers gold costs at NPC merchants.
- Performance Perk: Boosts Merchant’s Favor gains with Durotar Supply and Logistics or Azeroth Commerce Authority.
- Master Chef Perk: Chance for cooking recipes to yield extra food.
- Luremaster Perk: Chance to catch additional fish.
- Dedicated Study Perk: Daily cooldown for profession leveling or obtaining free Elemental Essences at 300 skill.
- Well Rested Perk: Higher cap and faster accumulation of rested experience.
- Thrill of Adventure Perk: Small HP/MP restoration upon killing non-trivial mobs.
- High Alert Perk: Boosted stealth detection in non-PvP environments.
- Field Guide Perk: Lowers camping feature cooldown (1 hour base).
- Field Medicine Perk: Shortens Recently Bandaged debuff duration (excludes Dungeons, Raids, and BGs).
- Talented Perk: Unlocks talent points 5 levels earlier than standard.
- Frequent Flier Perk: Cheaper and faster flight path travel.
- Gourmand Perk: Extended duration for food buffs.
- The Quick and the Dead Perk: Faster ghost movement and zero-cost buffs after resurrection.
- Reinforce Perk: Decreased equipment durability loss on death.
- For Great Honor Perk: Multiplier for Honor points.
- Permanence Perk: Extended duration for camping, party, and raid buffs.
- Diplomat Perk: Multiplier for Reputation gains.
- Reagent Economy Perk: Removes reagent costs for class spells and eliminates material costs for tier 1 camping items.
- Standard Legacy Challenges do not transfer to Hardcore mode.
- Challenges completed in Hardcore mode are credited to all other account rulesets.
- PvP Legacy Challenges are disabled for Hardcore characters.
- Hardcore launch will include 12 exclusive Legacy Challenges.
